Making A Difference One Leader At A Time

The Greatest Resource

New Counselor Recruitment is Underway!

As the spring semester begins, it's time to start thinking about the future of NHRI! NHRI is seeking freshmen who want to be a mentor for an identified K-12 student leader. With over 200 participating students, NHRI is the largest leadership development organization on the UNL campus. To ensure great recruitment efforts, follow these three steps:

1. Seek out current students (preferably freshmen) who actively display a strong sense of human relations capital.

2. Have a conversation with these people individually and briefly explain to them what NHRI is all about, the strengths you see in them (including their uncanny ability to positively influence others), and tell them why they might be a positive addition to NHRI.

3. Send them to an orientation that will be lead by the interviewer, Niki Littlejohn. Orientations will be held every Wednesday night in the City Campus Union at 8:00 PM beginning next week on January 18th and ending on March 14th. The room will be posted on the City Union/Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center schedule under “NHRI Orientation.” The orientation will cover everything they need to know about NHRI. They will be able to ask questions and sign up for an interview.

If Wednesday nights are unavailable for the potential candidate, please contact Niki Littlejohn at nikilittlejohn@hotmail.com or 308-874-4487 to set up an alternate time.
